March-April:
- Apply pre-emergent for crabgrass
- Fertilize to promote early growth
May-June:
- Mow regularly, maintaining grass height at 3-4 inches
- Apply broadleaf weed control
July-August:
- Water as needed to avoid drought stress
- Avoid fertilizing in extreme heat
September-October:
- Fertilize for fall growth
- Aerate and overseed
November:
- Apply winter fertilizer
- Continue mowing until grass stops growing
