Your quick guide to the yearly calendar to the best looking lawn on the block.

March-April:

  • Apply pre-emergent for crabgrass
  • Fertilize to promote early growth

May-June:

  • Mow regularly, maintaining grass height at 3-4 inches
  • Apply broadleaf weed control

July-August:

  • Water as needed to avoid drought stress
  • Avoid fertilizing in extreme heat

September-October:

  • Fertilize for fall growth
  • Aerate and overseed

November:

  • Apply winter fertilizer
  • Continue mowing until grass stops growing
